Fervo Energy is seeking a Site Permitting Specialist to lead permitting and compliance across the western United States. The role combines strategic planning with field implementation and requires translating regulatory requirements into practical field guidance while coordinating with engineering, legal, and environmental teams.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and documentation, prepare permit applications, monitor regulatory changes, and provide regular updates to leadership.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years in permitting, environmental compliance, land management, or project development for geothermal, renewables, transmission, mining, or oil & gas.
• Strong understanding of permitting processes and environmental regulations.
• Excellent organizational, communication, project management, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to interpret regulatory documents and translate requirements into practical plans.
• Willingness to travel ~30% to project sites in the western United States.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute integrated permitting and compliance plans, including schedules, budgets, and field implementation plans.
• Research, obtain, and maintain federal, state, and local permits and land use authorizations.
• Ensure compliance with permit conditions, land lease obligations, and environmental regulations.
• Compile permit and lease conditions into practical guides, field procedures, and training materials.
• Prepare, review, and submit permit applications with complete documentation.
• Conduct regular inspections and coordinate spill response and environmental compliance activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, legal, environmental, land, and operations teams to resolve permitting challenges.
• Serve as liaison with federal, state, local, and tribal agencies; support stakeholder engagement.
