University of North Dakota Undergraduate Research Assistant position with Dr. Moones Alamooti in Grand Forks, ND.

This part-time, non-benefited role invites UND students to assist with engineering design research on geothermal-powered corn drying systems funded by NDCUC. Responsibilities include data compilation, literature reviews, basic calculations under supervision, graphics preparation, and support for technology transfer.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled UND undergraduate student in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Attention to detail and good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow supervisor instructions.

Responsibilities

• Data compilation and organization.
• Literature review support on grain drying engineering and geothermal applications.
• Basic calculations under graduate student supervision.
• Vendor research and contact information compilation.
• Preparation of graphics and figures for reports and presentations.
• Assistance with technology transfer materials production.
• Assist with other duties when needed.
