Job summary

ECS Limited in Ridgeland, MS, is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Senior Project Engineer to lead geotechnical and construction materials testing projects from proposal to closeout. You will drive technical quality, client satisfaction, and financial performance while mentoring staff and supporting business development.

You will oversee project teams, manage budgets, review reports, and serve as the primary client contact, ensuring timely delivery and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar is required.
  • A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required in each state you work, or eligibility via reciprocity within three months of hire date.
  • Valid driver's license if driving for ECS.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Advanced project management and consulting skills.
  • Strong business development and client relationship skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of geotechnical principles and applications.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction materials testing and ASTM standards.
  • Proficiency with geotechnical software.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a consulting environment.
  • Ability to mentor and develop staff.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and manages geotechnical and CMT projects from proposal through completion.
  • Oversees preparation and review of geotechnical reports, including technical analysis and recommendations.
  • Ensures all project tasks, from proposal to final invoice, are completed accurately and on time.
  • Manages project budgets, change orders, invoicing, and collections.
  • Reviews field reports and ensures quality, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Prepares and oversees proposals and contracts.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
  • Hosts and participates in project meetings to present findings and provide technical solutions.

Responsibilities

ECS Limited is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Senior Project Engineer to manage key client projects in our Ridgelandoffice. The Geotechnical Senior Project Engineer leads and oversees geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing (CMT) projects from proposal through final delivery and closeout. This role is fully accountable for project success, including technical quality, client satisfaction, financial performance, and team execution. The Geotechnical Senior Project Engineer provides leadership to project teams, mentors staff, and actively contributes to business development and client relationship growth while maintaining a positive customer service attitude and demonstrating ECS Core Values.
