Job summary

Sage Geotechnical, a geotechnical engineering firm in Olympia, WA, is seeking a Project Manager to lead geotechnical projects from proposals through final reports.

You will supervise field and lab work, develop scopes of work, budgets, and schedules, and communicate with clients and project teams. A PE license and 3+ years' experience are required. In-person in Olympia or remote work options available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • 3+ years of geotechnical consulting experience required.
  • Professional Engineer license required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
  • Ability to document field activities, observations, and test results clearly.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and GIS mapping.

Responsibilities

  • Manage proposals, design work, and technical reports.
  • Develop scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.
  • Perform geologic and geotechnical analysis and basic calculations.
  • Conduct fieldwork including soil sampling, monitoring, testing, and site observations.
  • Provide construction observation and documentation.
  • Maintain clear client communication.
