Job summary

Forgen is seeking a Project Engineer I to support office and field operations by assisting with planning, coordination, documentation, and execution in line with budget, schedule, and contract requirements. This entry‑level role applies soils mechanics, hydraulics, structural theory, and surveying while gaining hands‑on field experience.

You will work with project managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure safety, quality, and compliance while upholding Forgen's safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in construction or engineering.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic project management software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license, ability to drive for the company.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project cost estimates, proposals, and material take-offs.
• Analyze remediation methodologies for projects.
• Travel to project sites for extended durations.
• Adhere to regulations.
• Prepare project submittals.
• Maintain project record documents.
• Review contract plans and specs.
• Provide oversight for project quality control per plans and company policies.
• Prepare daily construction reports and progress tracking.
• Manage, interpret, and perform site surveying.
• Assist with subcontractor management.
• Assist with procurement or rental of equipment and materials.
• Assist Project Manager with daily cost reporting.
• Take on additional assignments as directed.
