Job summary

HNTB is seeking a seasoned engineering professional in its Boston area to lead discipline work on major infrastructure projects. You will plan, coordinate, and deliver technically rigorous designs across geotechnical and related disciplines, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.

The role requires relevant degrees, PE certification preferred, and strong collaboration across teams. Visa sponsorship is available; positions span multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s degree in Engineering preferred; PhD in Engineering acceptable with relevant experience.
• Strong discipline coordination and ability to guide multi‑discipline teams.
• Ability to deliver high‑quality deliverables on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the planning and distribution of discipline‑specific work, and adherence to the schedule and budget on projects.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Assist with the development of scope of work and level of effort for projects and/or assignments within discipline.
• Oversee completeness and accuracy of project team’s work within the technical discipline and guide and mentor the team to overall project objectives.
• Coordinate technical aspects of project with client counterpart and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline.
• Work closely with other disciplines on multi‑discipline projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience.
• Phd in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 8 years relevant experience – Geotechnical Engineering.
• Transportation Infrastructure experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
