Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in Orlando, FL is seeking a Geotechnical Staff Project Manager I to support geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing projects through analysis, reporting, and coordination.

This is primarily office-based with some field exposure, focusing on project execution, budgeting, and documentation while developing project management and client communication skills in a values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar.
• A professional license is not required, but helpful for career progression.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Basic knowledge of geotechnical principles and ASTM standards.
• Ability to work with teams, clients, and supervisors.
• Valid driver's license if driving for ECS subsidiary.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation of geotechnical reports, including analysis and recommendations.
• Manage CMT tasks, including daily report review and issue tracking.
• Assist with project budgeting and invoicing.
• Support preparation of proposals for geotechnical and CMT projects.
• Assist with boring, test pit layout, and site access evaluation.
• Prepare drilling packages and obtain utility clearances.
• Conduct research on local geologic conditions.
• Assist supervision of field investigations and drilling activities.
• Review field reports and document project data.
• Communicate with project teams, contractors, and field personnel.
