Job summary

Materials Testing Consultants (MTC) is seeking a Project Manager specializing in Geotechnical Engineering to oversee geotechnical services from our West Allis office. You will manage diverse projects across Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan, lead the project life cycle, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with the Geotechnical Department Manager.

Qualifications

• PE license in the applicable states or ability to obtain Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois and Michigan licensure.
• Minimum 10 years of geotechnical experience with at least 5 years in direct geotechnical project management.
• Experience with geotechnical investigations, soil sampling, geotechnical analysis, and project management.
• Knowledge of materials testing for concrete, asphalt, and aggregates.
• Experience with construction site logistics, material procurement, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical investigations for a variety of public and private projects to high quality standards.
• Provide independent review of geotechnical data and develop constructible solutions.
• Oversee and mentor junior engineers in the office and department.
• Market geotechnical services through client development and proposals.
• Ensure timely delivery and budget adherence for geotechnical services.
