Geocomp, Inc. in Acton, MA is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Lab Team. You will gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art automated testing equipment and support site characterization, geotechnical design, and performance assessment.

We offer training, a collaborative environment, and room for growth. The role involves lifting up to 35 lbs, a standard indoor lab setting, and potential field testing on construction sites.

Qualifications

• No prior laboratory experience required; full training will be provided.
• Coursework or exposure to earth sciences, geology, civil, or environmental engineering is a plus (not required).
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on soil, rock, and geosynthetics.
• Collect, record, and report test data with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Assist with laboratory projects and daily operations as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
• Uphold high standards of quality, safety, and process compliance.
