Job summary

Terracon's Quad Cities/Bettendorf office is seeking civil/geotechnical/geological engineering students for internship opportunities from May to August, with co-op options May-December. Interns will learn about soil testing, lab procedures, and project management while shadowing field and lab teams.

The program offers mentorship, cohort networking, and a culminating leadership summit to discuss summer experiences and career planning within Terracon's geotechnical service line.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil or construction engineering.
• Interest in consulting and fieldwork.
• Demonstrated curiosity, teamwork, and alignment with Terracon’s values.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs sampling or testing as directed.
• Seek learning opportunities from mentor
• Provides assistance to other field and/or laboratory personnel
• Assists other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks
• Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.
• Create and give a final presentation to leadership regarding summer experiences
