Job summary

GeoStabilization International (GSI) is seeking a Working Superintendent to lead geotechnical and geohazard mitigation projects across the Western U.S. You’ll manage field crews, safety plans, schedules, budgets, and client communications, ensuring quality work on challenging sites.

As an hourly leadership role with substantial earning potential, the position offers 100% paid travel, an equity ownership program, and a comprehensive benefits package. Extensive travel and CDL A are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction in Geotechnical, Environmental, Civil or similar industries managing projects that involve similar drilling, shotcrete, slope or soils work.
• 1+ year in lead hand, foreman or working superintendent roles
• Ability to read scopes, specs, drawings, and execute a project plan
• Experience motivating crews and leading high-quality work
• Strong communication—clear, direct, solution-oriented
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping the crew aligned
• Flexibility to travel and adjust schedules as needed
• Outdoor work in climates ranging from mountains to deserts
• Regular lifting of 75 lbs+
• Extensive travel—up to 100% across the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Leading crews installing slope stabilization and geohazard mitigation systems
• Creating and executing safety plans—protecting your people is priority #1
• Managing schedule, production, and budget performance
• Handling documentation: daily logs, photos, as-builts, checklists, compliance
• Coaching and developing crew members; conducting performance reviews and corrective actions
• Coordinating crew travel and logistics with partners in Travel and Project Management
• Ensuring equipment maintenance and jobsite organization
• Communicating clearly with clients and internal teams
