Job summary

Mott MacDonald’s Pittsburgh internship invites civil engineering students to gain hands‑on experience on real projects. You’ll work with mentors across design, inspections, and client meetings to contribute to sustainable solutions and learn our consulting approach.

The three‑month journey develops technical skills, teamwork, and professional networks. Eligible candidates pursue a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering and demonstrate curiosity, communication, and a proactive mindset.

To be considered for this 2027 opportunity, here's what you'll need:
  • Progress towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, or related field
  • Demonstrated interest in your chosen field through previous internships, volunteering opportunities, or organization memberships
  • Creative thinking skills, with a methodical and pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Proficient communication and presentation skills to engage confidently with clients and colleagues

This position is located in Pittsburgh, PA. You must be able to reliably commute to our office in this location, per our hybrid working policy.

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.

The expected salary for this position is $18 per hour - $35 per hour.
