Job summary

ENGEO invites university students to apply for a summer internship (summer 2027) designed to explore professional geotechnical engineering careers within a dynamic environment. Interns gain real responsibilities in office, laboratory, and field settings, with exposure to geoenvironmental and hydrologic aspects and a dedicated mentorship structure.

The program spans field work, office design/analysis tasks, and a week in ENGEO’s laboratory locations.

Responsibilities

• Field: Assist with planning and execution of field investigations including logging borings and test pits, collecting samples, performing field tests, and observing/conducting cone penetration and geophysical testing.
• Office: Drafting, calculations, cross-sections, developing lab programs, boring logs, report preparation; assist technical staff in various roles.
• Laboratory: Spend one week in ENGEO laboratory locations; expand understanding of material properties and testing procedures; assist with lab tests (compaction curves, cylinders, Atterberg limits, gradation).
• Engagement: Participate in client engagements and meetings as appropriate; mentoring and teamwork throughout internship to build professional relationships.
