SOCOTEC Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer - Professional Engineer for full-time employment in the US - Envelope Existing Buildings department.

The role involves geotechnical studies, field tests, analysis, and design to support high-profile building projects. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree with at least 8 years of experience and solid CAD skills, plus strong communication and fieldworking capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Expertise in CAD software.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert engineering advice and recommendations for construction projects.
• Perform geotechnical studies, field tests, analysis, and design.
• Prepare and present findings and recommendations to leadership.
• Organize and direct geotechnical site assessment
• Determine and obtain necessary compliance permits
• Oversee and manage daily schedule for drilling crew and subcontractors
• Communicate professionally with clients and subcontractors
• Manage and approve subcontractor invoices and expenditures

What you will do

• Provide expert engineering advice and recommendations for construction projects.
