The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations, directing subsurface investigations, serving as engineer of record on select projects, and driving QA/QC in lab and field settings while mentoring staff and expanding client relations.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil/Geotechnical/Geological Engineering.
• GE license.
• 5+ years of geotechnical or geological experience.
• Strong grounding in soil and rock mechanics and commercial geotechnical software.
• Clear, defensible report writing and confident client communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers plus field and lab technicians, overseeing day-to-day operations.
• Own the P&L: budgets, staffing, utilization, invoicing and profitability.
• Direct subsurface investigations, seismic/liquefaction evaluations, slope analysis and design recommendations.
• Act as geotechnical engineer of record on DSA (schools) and HCAI (hospitals) projects.
• Set and enforce QA/QC standards in the lab and field.
• Drive business development into infrastructure, healthcare, education and commercial work.
• Mentor junior staff and build strong relationships with clients, agencies, architects and contractors.
