Langan is seeking a Entry-Level Geotechnical Engineer to join its collaborative team in Irvine, CA. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree with Geotechnical specialty is preferred.
• 0–2 years of work experience.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• EIT Certification or FE exam preferred.
• Willingness to spend the majority of work hours in the field.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations, including logging borings and test pits, collecting samples, and recording data.
• Observe foundation and earthwork construction activities and monitor conformance with documents.
• Identify and implement solutions to field and laboratory problems.
• Prepare logs and field forms (drilling logs, test pit logs, field dailies, chain of custody).
• Conduct site reconnaissance and document searches.
• Communicate issues to supervisor promptly.
• Perform other duties as requested.
