Core Responsibilities

Geotechnical design and analysis for shallow and deep foundations, earthworks, slopes, seepages, and lateral earth pressures.

Geotechnical earthquake engineering analyses, including ground motion, site response, deformation, SSI, liquefaction, and lateral spreading.

Planning, installation, monitoring, and interpretation of subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, and geotechnical instrumentation.

Project, resource, and staff management, including report preparation and proposal support.

Construction observation of foundations, drilled shafts, pile driving and other earthworks.

Collaboration on building and infrastructure design, client relationship development, and professional community participation.

Bachelor\'s Degree in Civil Engineering; Master\'s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.

Minimum 4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering practice with an emphasis on geotechnical design and analysis, geotechnical field investigation, and construction supervision.

Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team-based working.

Extensive geotechnical background with fundamental knowledge of geotechnical engineering, soil and rock mechanics, earthquake engineering, pavement engineering, and groundwater hydrogeology.

Experience with software including slope stability, pile modeling, and site response tools.

Familiarity with DSA/CGS and Caltrans standards, guidelines, and deliverables.

Experience in construction oversight for foundation construction and earthwork observation.

About the Job
  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Compensation: $114,400 - $128,960 annually
    The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
