• 5+ years of progressive geotechnical experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations, including planning field programs and site characterization.
• Analyze data, prepare reports and design calculations.
• Design and evaluate foundations, retaining structures, slopes, and ground improvement solutions.
• Provide technical oversight and QA for projects.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, environmental, and construction teams.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and client expectations.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and staff.
• Support proposals, client presentations, and business development.

Duties

• Lead geotechnical investigations, including planning field exploration programs, laboratory testing, and site characterization.
• Analyze geotechnical data and prepare engineering reports, recommendations, and design calculations.
• Design and evaluate shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, embankments, slopes, pavements, and ground improvement solutions.
• Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for geotechnical projects.
• Review project specifications, drawings, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, environmental, and construction teams throughout project development and execution.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, staffing, and client expectations.
• Conduct site visits and provide construction-phase consultation and observation services.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff.
• Support proposal preparation, client presentations, and business development activities.

Education/Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of progressive experience
• Must have the ability to obtain a North and South Carolina Professional Engineering License

Certifications/Licenses

Valid Driver's License
