Job summary

A leading geotechnical consulting firm located in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Geotechnical Drilling Assistant. The successful candidate will assist in subsurface investigations and support the Crew Chief in drilling operations. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, collecting data, and ensuring safety practices. Ideal candidates will have a strong technical aptitude and the ability to lift heavy weights. This role requires travel of up to 50% in varying weather conditions, and offers a competitive compensation package including benefits.

Qualifications

• Prior geotechnical drilling experience is preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis, 75 lbs occasionally.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Crew Chief in all aspects of drilling operation.
• Collect field samples and data.
• Maintain tooling, equipment, and vehicles.
