Job summary

Ardaman & Associates, Inc. in Baton Rouge is hiring a Driller Assistant to support drill crews in geotechnical testing. The role is outdoor, physically demanding, and offers a clear path into test drilling with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience preferred, but training available.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• CDL Class A or B a plus.
• DOT Medical Certificate required or in progress.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and out of town.
• Must have acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in drilling operations.
• Expedite field supplies.
• Perform duties at multiple job sites.
• Perform yard duties as directed.
• Assist in measuring test boring locations.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Connect/disconnect drill pipe as needed.
• Catch samples of drilled cuttings for analysis.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Move drilling rig and equipment between sites.
• Dig and clean mud pits and drains.
• Assist with well development and pumping tests.
• Operate pumps and other drilling equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs.
