Morgan Corp. is seeking a Geostructural Superintendent to join the Industrial Division in Asheville, NC. The role will travel with the Geostructural team throughout the Southeast, overseeing concrete work and leading multi-discipline crews in design-build geostructural projects.
The ideal candidate has strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in deep foundations and shoring systems, with a commitment to safety and quality on complex sites.
Department: Operations
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Asheville, NC
This position will be reporting to our industrial division, who will travel with our Geostructural team throughout the southeast.
Our growing Industrial Division is a multi-disciplined construction group that self-performs Concrete, Electrical, Structural, and Pipe scopes in industrial process facilities. The Industrial Division is based in our Spartanburg office and performs work throughout the Southeast.
Our team is growing, and we are seeking discipline-specific (civil/electrical/pipe/structural) or multi-disciplined Superintendent to continue to grow. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who acts with integrity and leads by example.
Our scopes sometimes come from an engineered set of drawings provided to us by a client, but often our scopes are developed as a team with the client in response to a unique site condition issue that has developed. As such, this position requires a strong problem-solving skillset and a desire to develop solutions that strike a balance between constructability and design.
Work Environment:
Work is performed outside in all types of environmental conditions. While performing the essential functions of this job, the Superintendent will regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, and manipulate objects, reach with hands and arms, lift above the head, bend to the waist, squat, talk, and hear. Occasionally climb ladders, crawl in tight or confined spaces, and lift, move, or push up to 75 pounds. Specific vision requirements include near, far, and color vision. Ascend or descend stairs as well as walk on uneven terrain. Work in construction areas poses a greater risk due to moving equipment and potential trip and fall hazards. Regularly be exposed to varying temperatures (high and low) and loud noises.
