Job summary

Woolpert, Inc. is seeking a Survey Intern to join our Survey and Geospatial team for the 2027 internship program.

This full‑time internship offers hands-on experience supporting field and office surveying operations alongside experienced professionals on infrastructure, transportation, aviation, utility, and geospatial projects. You will assist with collecting, processing, and analyzing survey data to support design, construction, mapping, asset management, and community development initiatives.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in surveying or related field.
Familiarity with surveying principles, field procedures, and coordinate systems.
Exposure to GNSS/GPS equipment, total stations, laser scanning, or UAV technologies.
Experience with surveying/design software such as TBC, AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation/OpenRoads, ArcGIS.

Responsibilities

Work as an integral member of a survey field crew and project team.
Assist licensed surveyors and geospatial professionals with field data collection.
Operate surveying technologies including GNSS/GPS receivers and robotic total stations.
Support topographic, boundary, utility, construction, and control surveys.
Assist with establishing photo and ground control for aerial mapping.
