Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience developing software using Java, Python, or both.
• Experience designing and implementing web-based applications and services using modern frameworks.
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, data modeling and performance optimization.
• Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and OOP principles.
• Experience in Agile SDLC environments.
• Knowledge of secure software development practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and with teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software applications using Java and/or Python.
• Design and implement web application features using modern development frameworks.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases for data storage and optimization.
• Support geospatial and GIS-enabled applications and services.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and integration activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver features within sprints.
• Apply secure coding practices and security-focused SDLC processes.
• Troubleshoot, performance tune, and improve existing applications.
• Contribute to technical documentation and system design discussions.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance as needed.
