Cymertek is seeking a Geospatial Software Engineer in Reston, VA. You will design and build geospatial software that processes and visualizes geospatial data, integrating it with other systems across diverse domains.

Ideal candidates have strong GIS tool proficiency (ArcGIS/QGIS) and experience with Python or R, PostGIS, and geospatial web services, supporting scalable, robust geospatial solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in GIS software and tools (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS)
• Strong knowledge of spatial data structures and formats
• Expertise in geospatial programming languages (e.g., Python, R)
• Familiarity with spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, Spatialite)
• Experience with geospatial web services (e.g., WMS, WFS)
• Knowledge of coordinate systems and projections

Responsibilities

• Design and develop geospatial software applications
• Process, analyze, and visualize geospatial data
