Job summary

BrightRidge seeks a GIS-focused engineer to develop, implement, and maintain EIS applications and the work order system. Analyze data integrity and support GIS integration across engineering functions.

You will coordinate field data collection, manage GPS data, and assist in outage management data modeling, with emphasis on ESRI tools and AutoCAD support. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geoscience with geospatial emphasis or related field, or 5 years GIS experience.
• Experience with GIS applications and geospatial data.
• Knowledge of GPS technology.
• Relational database design knowledge.
• Proficiency with ESRI software and custom menu development.
• Basic AutoCAD experience.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• Excellent PC skills with Windows and Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain BrightRidge GIS applications integrity, including work orders and mapping.
• Develop and maintain the Work Order Management System for engineering staff.
• Provide technical support to Field Engineers and Engineering staff.
• Support system upgrades and changes.
• Develop and maintain application menus, scripts, libraries, and database apps for the work order system.
• Coordinate GIS field data collection for BrightRidge functions.
• Develop and maintain a library of GPS activity and collate data to the EIS.
• Provide data model support for outage management system.
• Prepare specialty maps and GIS background data as required.
• Maintain GPS equipment.
• Develop computer-training materials for EIS and Engineering staff.
• Update as-built drawings.
• Evaluate methods for practicality and effectiveness.
• Integrate GPS data with EIS.
• Report issues to software companies.
• Maintain reliable attendance.
