Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Geospatial Engineer to collect and process military geographic information, create maps, and present data to leaders for battlefield visualization.

You will learn GIS basics, imagery interpretation, and develop 2-D/3-D geospatial products while earning a paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance through the Montgomery GI Bill. Training includes Basic and Advanced Individual Training with classroom and field components.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of Geographic Information Systems and imagery interpretation.
• Must meet minimum education requirement of high school diploma or GED.
• Drafting equipment familiarity is a plus for geospatial work.

Responsibilities

• Create geographic data and compile them into maps.
• Create and maintain multiple geospatial databases.
• Prepare military-style briefs covering terrain and geospatial aspects.
