HNTB Corporation is seeking a senior data engineer in Tallahassee, FL to lead the development of complex data pipelines and architectures. You will collaborate with stakeholders to define data strategy, manage projects, and ensure quality in solution delivery.

The role requires strong SQL, Python, and experience with cloud data services and data warehousing. You will mentor junior engineers and work with data scientists to optimize workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years, or 9 years of experience in lieu of education.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data pipelines and analytics.
• Experience with data warehouse design, data modeling, and data governance.

What You’ll Do:

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field and 5 years of related experience, or, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field and 4 years of related experience, or, In lieu of education, 9 years of relevant experience.

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience administering and managing Oracle, SQL and other platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud data services.
• Data warehouse design and modeling.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

What We Prefer:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, GIS, or Engineering.
• Experience with PostGRES.
• Experience with Snowflake Data pipeline orchestration (Informatica, FME).
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
• Experience and Knowledge of GIS.
