Job summary

Arturo is seeking a geospatial data engineer to onboard diverse geospatial datasets and build robust ETL pipelines. You will work with AI systems, streaming and storage layers, and ensure throughput remains high while respecting external rate limits.

You will collaborate in an Agile environment, write automated tests, and contribute to open-source geospatial software. The role emphasizes strong Python development, knowledge of geospatial formats, and experience with AWS databases.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with geospatial data concepts, formats, and tools.
• Professional Python development with testing, automation, and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborative development with code reviews in a shared repo.

Responsibilities

• Onboard geospatial datasets (imagery, parcels, polygons) and build ETL pipelines.
• Interface between AI systems and input data via streaming/storage/c caching layers.
• Manage third-party rate limits and architect to maximize throughput.
• Participate in Agile development with stakeholders and collaborative decision making.
• Write automated tests to ensure code quality and maintainability.
• Contribute to open-source geospatial software and related projects.
