Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience supporting geospatial solutions development/maintenance
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Server
• Experience building web apps, dashboards, workflows, or APIs
• Experience geospatial data management and GIS workflows
• Experience troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining enterprise apps
• Knowledge of web services, APIs, and integration principles

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise geospatial applications, UIs, workflows, and APIs
• Support development and maintenance of geospatial solutions
• Develop web‑based GIS apps, dashboards, and integration workflows
• Support ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, and related services
• Develop apps for geospatial data visualization, analysis, and management
• Integrate geospatial apps with enterprise systems and data platforms
• Collaborate with IT, security, data, and program teams to meet DHS IT requirements
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, deployment, and maintenance
• Develop and maintain technical docs, specs, and user guides
• Support cybersecurity, RBAC, and privacy in development activities
• Support development, testing, prod, and ops environments
• Assist with user support, training, and issue resolution

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise geospatial applications, user interfaces, workflows, and APIs.
• Support new development and maintenance of existing geospatial solutions.
• Develop web‑based GIS applications, dashboards, and integration workflows.
• Support implementation and maintenance of ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, and related geospatial services.
• Develop applications supporting geospatial data visualization, analysis, and management activities.
• Integrate geospatial applications with enterprise systems, data platforms, and business applications.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, data, and program teams to ensure applications meet DHS IT requirements.
• Participate in application testing, troubleshooting, performance tuning, deployment, and maintenance activities.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, application specifications, and user guides.
• Support cybersecurity, role‑based access, and privacy requirements within application development activities.
• Support development, testing, production, and operations and maintenance environments.
• Assist with user support, training, and issue resolution activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience developing applications including user interfaces, workflows, and APIs.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as Python, C++, JavaScript, C#, .NET, or similar technologies.
• Experience supporting new development and/or maintenance of existing geospatial solutions.
• Experience working with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server, or related Esri technologies.
• Experience developing web applications, dashboards, workflows, or APIs.
• Experience supporting geospatial data management and GIS workflows.
• Experience troubleshooting, testing, and maintaining enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of web services, APIs, and application integration principles.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
