Job summary

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a skilled GIS Analyst/Developer to join our team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). You will perform advanced spatial analyses, maintain geospatial databases, and produce geospatial products for program execution.

The role requires coordination with internal and external stakeholders, experience with ArcGIS suite, Python scripting, and the ability to work across engineering and program operations. Security clearance (Secret) is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience with Bachelor; 3 years with Masters; 0 with PhD/JD; or HS diploma with 9 years relevant experience.
• Preferred: BA/BS with 6 years relevant experience.
• MA/MS can substitute for 2 years of experience.
• Strong understanding of geospatial principles and concepts.
• Knowledge of environmental science, remote sensing, data engineering, or surveying.
• Proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, geodatabases, and spatial analysis tools.
• Programming languages: C, C#, HTML, ASP.NET, Python.
• Secret Clearance with US DoD required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Designs, analyzes, and develops geospatial solutions for infrastructure and environmental features.
• Performs GIS analyses on natural resources and datasets to support requirements.
• Plans, designs, develops, documents, and analyzes spatial and relational databases.
• Uses GIS software to manage and analyze spatial and tabular data.
• Builds, updates, and maintains geospatial databases.
• Produces geospatial maps, dashboards, and visualizations meeting specifications.
• Identifies and integrates external GIS data sources into enterprise datasets.
• Performs data QC/QA and ensures metadata compliance.
• Develops automated geoprocessing workflows using Python or ModelBuilder.
• Supports integration of GIS with other enterprise systems and workflows.
