Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a geospatial data contractor in the United States to acquire, analyze, and compile georeferenced products supporting NGA press operations, including MC&G, FG, and SoN for CADRG/ECRG ingestion.

You will update GIS databases, use GEODEC to georeference charts, assist the CADRG lead with testing, and collaborate with the CADRG team to ensure data quality. The role also involves scripting data transfers (Putty) and developing APIs to integrate with NGA systems.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain CI Polygraph.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with college courses in relevant specialty.
• Knowledge of NGA products and maps including topographic, hydrographic, and aeronautical, especially aeronautical and vertical obstruction products.
• Georeferencing data analysis and analytics experience.
• Familiar with Rimage and Bartender software output files.
• Familiar with ArcGIS Suite.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement modernized approaches to GeoDec and ACCORD to improve functionality, efficiency, and automation.
• Apply AI/ML techniques to improve georeferencing accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain APIs for integration with NGA systems and CADRG/ECRG workflows.

Job description

The primary support shall be to acquire, analyze, evaluate, extract, and compile georeferenced products in support of standard product requirements. The contractor shall use knowledge of NGA’s standard product as it relates to AOR, Chart Series, and marginalia data for press operations to include creating and providing information on Mapping, Charting, & Geodesy (MC&G), Foundation GEOINT (FG), Content, and Safety of Navigation (SoN) for ingest and population into a CADRG/ECRG title..

Responsibilities

• Create, update, and manage geospatial information system databases and products.
• Use GEODEC software to geo-reference and de-collar required charts for production and apply appropriate metadata.
• Assist the CADRG lead with testing procedures, offering feedback and notes.
• Communicate with the CADRG development team as needed, always looping in the CADRG Lead for technical issues and troubleshooting.
• Copy completed data to the appropriate data stores on the Gateway and run scripts to ensure data is formatted correctly (Putty software).
• Design and implement modernized approaches to GeoDec and ACCORD software to improve functionality, efficiency, and automation capabilities.
• Apply AI/ML techniques to improve georeferencing accuracy and efficiency in the GEODEC process.
• Develop and maintain APIs for integration with other NGA systems and databases to enhance CADRG/ECRG production workflows.
