Job summary

YO IT Consulting is seeking a Geospatial Analysis Specialist for a remote contract role. You will design, manage, and maintain spatial data, perform geoprocessing and modeling with QGIS, and automate workflows using PyQGIS to support AI training and decision making.

Candidates should have deep GIS knowledge, strong Python scripting, experience with map production and plugin development, and the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders in writing and speech.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and maintain spatial databases and ensure data integrity and accuracy across projects.
• Conduct advanced geoprocessing and spatial modeling using QGIS and integrate results into actionable insights.
• Develop, customize, and maintain QGIS plugins and extensions tailored to project specifications.
• Automate geospatial analysis workflows using Python (PyQGIS) to improve efficiency and reproducibility.
• Prepare high-quality cartographic maps and visualizations for reports, presentations, and decision support.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to understand requirements and transform them into geospatial solutions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly in both written and verbal form to internal and external stakeholders.
