Google Maps Platform Forward Deployed Engineer role focuses on embedding within partner environments to deploy geospatial AI systems at scale. You will balance business needs with technical constraints and drive real-world impact for major clients.

Lead cross-functional teams, design production-grade pipelines, and help shape product roadmap while delivering white-glove support and expert guidance to partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of software development experience using Python or similar languages.
• Experience delivering production AI solutions to customers.
• Experience leading customer discovery sessions.
• Experience building data pipelines with vector databases and RAG-like architectures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a developer for complex AI applications, moving prototypes to production-grade workflows.
• Architect and code integration between Google's AI products and customers' live infrastructure.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks for accuracy, safety, and latency.
• Identify repeatable field patterns and convert them into reusable modules or feature requests.
• Co-build with customer engineering teams to promote Google-grade development practices.
