Job summary

Colorado Mesa University is seeking motivated student employees to assist in geology laboratories within the Geosciences Program. You will help prepare and maintain teaching labs, organize equipment, and support program activities.

Some positions may involve field activities, and occasional driving of university vehicles with advance notice. Ideal candidates are current CMU students who are eligible for MavWorks or Federal Work‑Study, reliable, able to work independently or with others, and

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a CMU student.
• Eligible for MavWorks or Federal Work‑Study.
• Reliable and able to work independently or in a team.
• Available during multiple listed work periods.
• Able to perform light lifting and move lab materials as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with laboratory preparation, setup, and cleanup.
• Organize, maintain, and inventory laboratory materials and equipment.
• Support faculty during laboratory sessions as needed.
• Provide general program support and organize teaching spaces.
• Participate in occasional field activities and program events.
• Drive university vehicles for program activities when assigned.
