Job summary

SLB in Houston is seeking a motivated Geophysicist to support Petrel E&P software for energy exploration and development activities. You will troubleshoot, guide customers, and perform geophysical interpretations within the Digital & Integration division.

The role requires advanced VSP expertise, collaboration with geoscientists and engineers, and commitment to delivering high-quality project study results on time.

Qualifications

• Advanced VSP processing with subsalt datasets.
• VSP survey design using ray and wave equation methods.
• Salt proximity survey processing and advanced VSP imaging.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support throughout Sales and Service Delivery process.
• Assist in developing technical job designs for PLs.
• Identify areas where new and cost effective techniques can be applied.
• Explore opportunities for value-added products and services.
• Consult with Design/Technical Engineer role as required to optimize the technical design.
• Assist in real-time incident response, recovery, and investigation as related to the area of expertise.
• Remain current on new technologies.
• Engage with local universities, Customer institutes and research organizations.
