Job summary

SmartStart Education, LLC seeks a High School Geometry Tutor to work with small groups of 1–4 students in Dayton, Ohio. The role runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 9:15 AM–4:15 PM, with groups in or out of the classroom. Start 10/27/2026 and end 3/16/2027.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree mandatory; applications with anticipated graduation dates will not be considered.
At least one year of teaching or tutoring experience in an educational setting.
Mastery of high school geometry concepts and skills.
Understanding of challenges faced by urban students and communities.
Genuine passion and commitment to student success.
Punctuality and adherence to schedules.
Strong communication skills with students, colleagues and stakeholders.
Ability to commute to Dayton, OH.
Ability to navigate a school environment throughout the day.

Responsibilities

Take daily attendance and monitor student progress using a personal device.
Provide small-group pull-in/push-out tutoring for 9th–12th grade geometry.
Coordinate sessions on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at a Dayton high school.
