Job summary

Gilbert Unified School District seeks a Certified Classroom Teacher for 7th‑12th grade Math at Gilbert Classical Academy. This full‑time, 1.0 FTE role starts January 5, 2027 and is a 10‑month contracted position with annual pay starting at $55,150 depending on experience.

Applicants must hold an Arizona Secondary Certificate with the Math area or be in the process of obtaining one, and must have a Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card before processing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Arizona Secondary Certificate with Math approved area (or in process).
• Valid Arizona DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements a program of study meeting student needs within the district curriculum.
• Uses effective teaching techniques to meet curriculum goals and objectives.
• Creates weekly lesson plans aligned with curriculum and course outlines.
• Monitors student progress and provides feedback to students and parents.
• Diagnoses and addresses specific student needs with district support as needed.
• Maintains professional communication with students, parents and staff.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and well‑being.
• Upholds district policies and supports student behavior guidance.
