Northern Star Pogo Mine in Alaska is seeking an experienced Underground Mine Surveyor/Survey Technician. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of geological experience, primarily in gold. The successful candidate will work on a 15 days on, 13 days off schedule, assisting with geological tasks and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

We currently have an exciting opportunity at our Pogo operation for an experienced Underground Mine Surveyor/Survey Technician on a 15 days on, 13 days off schedule.
The Project Resource Geologist reports to the Senior Resource Geologist, and the primary role is to assist in the implementation and execution of geological tasks related to the operation of the Underground Mine. This position must make on the spot decisions with little consultation to more senior staff which can effect ongoing drilling or modelling activities. They are also responsible for the generation and timely delivery of high quality grade control and resource models. As well as, complete tasks allocated by the Senior Resource Development Geologist, with some framework provided, but it will be up to the incumbent to devise a plan, carry out the task and deliver the results. The incumbent must be capable, highly motivated self-starter.
Working a 15 days on, 13 days off, off rotating schedule of days and nights, up to 12 hours a day or more at a remote campsite. Extreme conditions, including but not limited to extreme and changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise, varying degrees of light and dark, in and around artificial light and in a confined work area.
Employees are required to stay on site at the company provided camp during the work rotation. Camp facilities provide dining service, games room, exercise & weight room, sauna, and accommodation rooms. Dormitory rooms have a land line phone, internet & cable tv programs. Cell service is available when using Wi‑Fi. The Company provides a bus service to and from Fairbanks, Delta Junction and Tok, Alaska.
