Job summary

Apex Companies, LLC is seeking a collaborative Geologist/Hydrogeologist to join our team in Fort Myers or Tampa Bay. You will work under a licensed Professional Geologist on projects involving water resource evaluation, planning, design, permitting, and construction, delivering sound science and practical results.

Requirements include a BS in Geology (or related field), 2+ years of experience, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of BS in Geology or closely aligned field with relevant coursework.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Geologist in Training (GIT) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff with development of testing plans, well drilling, aquifer/well performance tests, instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis, report preparation, water resource permitting, and infrastructure design.
• Direct contractors during hydrogeologic explorations and testing programs.
• Understand project objectives and schedules and meet deadlines and budgets.
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with clients and team members.

We are looking to fillageologist/hydrogeologistpositionwithtoserve out of ourFort Myers or Tampa Bayoffice, under thesupervision of a licensed Professional Geologist (PG).

Your Responsibilities as a Geologist/Hydrogeologist:

• Assist staff with development of testing plans, well drilling, aquifer/well performance tests, instrumentation,data acquisition and analysis,report preparation, water resource permitting, and infrastructure design.
• Direct contractors during hydrogeologic explorations and testing programs.
• Must be capable of understanding technical aspects of hydrogeologic projects and execute projects to meet technical, quality, and scheduling requirements.
• Demonstrate strong verbal communication and written skills.

What we're looking for:

• Minimum of BS in Geology or closely aligned field of study with relevant coursework.
• 2+ years’relatedexperience.
• Geologistin Training (GIT) certificationispreferred.
• Knowledge of geologic concepts including sedimentology, stratigraphy, karst systems, aquifer testing, geochemistry,groundwaterand surface water monitoring.
• Knowledge ofthe geologic, hydrologic, and soil classification systems.
• Knowledge of the principles and standards of scientific study, field investigation and sampling, experimentation, research, and documentation.
• Ability to understand projectobjectivesand schedules and meet critical deadlines and budgets.
• Ability to work with contractors, clients, and a diverse team ofproject deliveryexperts.
• Strong problem-solving skills; organized and reliable. Strong written and verbal communication skills.Technical writing experience.
• Physically capable oflifting upto 40 lbs.withoutassistanceand working outdoors in Florida weather conditions.
• Must pass drugtest,physical,backgroundcheckand must have a satisfactory driving recordin accordance withthe Company's driving policy.

Work Schedule:

7 days on/7days off schedule the first 10 to 12 months anticipated.
