Job summary

Elendil Resources LLC in Waxahachie, TX is seeking a Geological Technician to assist geologists, geophysicists, engineers, and landmen with geological and production data. This full‑time, hybrid role (1–2 days/week) offers a fast‑growing, collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a geotech role, familiarity with well logs, GIS, seismic data, and strong organizational skills. Proficiency in ArcGIS, Petra, Kingdom, and Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required if the candidate is well-qualified.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Geotech or similar role.
  • Basic familiarity with well logs, core data, seismic data, production reports, GIS information, etc.
  • Hybrid role so preference for candidates in the DFW metroplex.
  • Willing to travel very occasionally (2-3Xs/year).
  • Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Load and update relevant data in various databases or software, including ArcGIS, Petra, and Kingdom.
  • Maintain and curate geological databases and ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Organize scanned well files.
  • Compile and analyze geological, geophysical, mineral/lease, and engineering data.
  • Create and update maps of competitor activity on a periodic basis.
  • Assist with new drill and workover logistics and inventory management.
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations while conducting field and laboratory work.

Elendil Resources LLC is a rapidly growing exploration & production company, focused on producing helium, natural gas, and oil from operated assets in the Midcontinent Region.Additional holdings include non-operated interests in wells across multiple basins throughout the Lower 48 states. Position Description

The Geological Technician assists geologists, geophysicists, engineers, and landmen in the reception, loading, and distribution of geological and production data. This role is with a small but rapidly growing company and requires a candidate to be a self-starter and comfortable working independently across various functional groups. The Geological Technician will report directly to the Geoscience Department at Elendil Resources but will have constant interaction with the other departments. This is a full-time, hybrid position (1-2 days/week) in Waxahachie, Texas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and update relevant data in various databases or software, including ArcGIS, Petra, and Kingdom (not an inclusive list)
  • Maintain and curate geological databases and ensure data quality and integrity
  • Organize scanned well files
  • Compile and analyze geological, geophysical, mineral/lease, and engineering data
  • Create and update maps of competitor activity on a periodic basis
  • Assist with new drill and workover logistics and inventory management
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations while conducting field and laboratory work
Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required if the candidate is well-qualified
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Geotech or similar role

  • As noted, this position is hybrid, so special preference will be given to candidates located in the DFW metroplex
  • Willing to travel very occasionally (2-3Xs/year)
  • Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills

Pay

Pay: To be determined based on experience and qualifications but in line with standard industry salaries seen in exploration and production companies located in the United States.
