Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a GIS Analyst / GIS Applications Developer to support enterprise GIS and data governance initiatives in Columbus, OH. The contractor will develop GIS apps, manage geospatial data, and deliver scalable GIS solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has ArcGIS Desktop expertise, data management experience, Python scripting skills, and proven ability to support enterprise GIS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of ArcGIS Desktop experience.
• 3+ years of editing, maintaining, and GIS data management.
• 1+ year Python or scripting (ArcPy preferred).
• Experience developing GIS applications, map services, and web mapping.
• Experience working in enterprise GIS environments with feature classes/geodatabases.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into GIS solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and support GIS-based data collection and web mapping apps.
• Create and maintain feature classes, related tables, map services, and geospatial datasets.
• Build dashboards and analytics solutions using GIS and BI tools.
• Support enterprise GIS applications, metadata management, and end-user requests.
• Troubleshoot GIS, CAD, software, and hardware-related issues.
• Perform software testing, system maintenance, and data quality monitoring.
• Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate GIS workflows.
• Manage data backups, archives, and recovery efforts as needed.
• Create technical documentation, data models, user guides, and requirements specifications.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams on GIS, transportation asset management, and data governance projects.

Must-Haves
