Job summary

The FerVID Group is hiring for a Client Lead- Support Specialist to own client relationships and coordinate technical issue resolution within a hybrid Denver-based role. You will manage incidents, support core infrastructure and desktop tech, and drive data center remediation and small projects.

The role requires extensive Windows expertise, on-site experience, and hands-on virtualization; strong communication and team collaboration are essential for success in a fast-paced, multi-project

Qualifications

  • 8+ years' experience with Windows/Linux Platforms (More experience with Windows in preferred).
  • 5+ years providing onsite support.
  • 5+ years' experience with Virtual environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software or networking.

Responsibilities

  • Lead client relationship initiatives and serve as the primary point of contact for escalations.
  • Manage technical issues and requests using a ticketing system.
  • Provide support for core infrastructure and desktop technologies.
  • Lead incident and problem management tasks and identify risks to the technical infrastructure.
  • Oversee data center remediation/expansion activities and onsite activities.

Job description

Client Lead- Support Specialist
Primary responsibilities:
  • Client relationship lead
  • Manage technical issues and requests using a ticketing system
  • Provide support for core infrastructure and desktop technologies
  • Responsible for technical troubleshooting, data gathering and gap analysis for issues impacting end users and infrastructure
  • Lead major incident and problem management response tasks and identifying risks to the technical infrastructure
  • Manage data center infrastructure remediation/expansion activities
  • Project Manager and lead small operational projects
  • Security and patch management

Basic Qualifications:
  • 8+ years' experience with Windows/Linux Platforms (More experience with Windows in preferred)
  • 5+ years providing onsite support
  • 5+ years' experience with Virtual environments

Required Skills:
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software or networking
  • Knowledge of cloud-based solutions around compute, storage and network
  • Experience working with PCoIP technologies such as RGS, TGX and Leostream
  • Experience with VMWare and/or virtual server environment administration
  • Experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) implementation and support
  • Storage configuration and management (monitoring, allocating and troubleshooting)
  • Experience with Zabbix or similar monitoring/alerting solutions
  • Extensive knowledge of Windows OS and application security vulnerability remediation
  • Creation and maintenance of detailed documentation
  • Experience installing, supporting, and configuration of virtual systems and associated networking
  • Knowledge and understanding of a wide range of technology and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in highly integrated and interconnected systems
  • Hands-on hardware experience; builds, upgrades, repair including onsite Data Center activities
  • Working knowledge of networking equipment and concepts
  • Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
  • Strong team and interpersonal skills
  • Provide support on a M-F business hours schedule, also responsible for on-call, extended hour, and weekend support as required by project or priority one situations.

DesiredSkills:
  • Experience in network configuration
  • Experience supporting Oil & Gas Technical Infrastructure
  • Knowledge of Geoscience and Reservoir engineering applications, data and workflows including Reservoir Engineering and Seismic processing clusters (High Performance Computing)
  • Experience packaging applications using PDQ
  • Experience with maintenance and support of Appsense
