Job summary

SRK Consulting (U.S.), Inc. is seeking a Geochemist to lead geochemical studies within the mining sector. You will support mine waste studies, analyze large datasets, and contribute to water quality modeling and field sampling.

The role requires a degree in geology or geochemistry with at least 3 years of related experience, strong report writing, and the ability to travel internationally.

Qualifications

• Degree in geology or geochemistry required.
• Minimum 3 years of applicable experience.
• Knowledge of geochemistry, geology and mineralogy.
• Experience analyzing large geochemical datasets and reporting.
• Fieldwork on mine sites including sampling.
• Understanding of mining-related environmental issues and regulations.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Undertake geochemical studies for the mining industry.
• Assist with mine waste studies and data interpretation.
• Assist with mine site water quality predictions using geochemical modeling.
• Conduct fieldwork and collect rock, soil, and water samples.
• Produce high-quality technical reports for non-specialists.
• Organize project meetings, documentation and reporting procedures.
• Travel and overseas fieldwork as needed.
