Job summary

Google is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for Geo Auto in Mountain View, CA or Seattle, WA. You will lead automotive partners in integrating Maps with automotive SDKs and coordinate across Engineering, Sales, and Product teams to deliver advanced navigation solutions.

The role emphasizes solving complex problems, mentoring others, and building tools to automate products while aligning with partner needs and Google's strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in either system design or in one programming language (Java, C++, Python, etc.).
• 6 years of experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.
• Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead automotive partners as they integrate Google Maps and automotive SDKs across complex domains.
• Manage the automotive partner relationship and drive issue resolutions.
• Model requirements and roadmap of automotive partners to guide product development.
• Support the Geo Auto Forward Deployed Engineering team as a subject matter expert.
• Collaborate with Geo Auto, Geo Developer, and Android teams to provide a complete automotive solution.
