Job summary

Tempus is seeking a Molecular Technologist I/II to perform high-complexity molecular workflows in a clinical laboratory setting in Chicago. The role focuses on next-generation sequencing data generation, QC, and timely reporting within established SOPs.

The candidate should have a BS/MS in medical technology or related field, 1–2+ years in CAP/CLIA labs, and hands-on experience with NGS workflows, library prep, and data entry in LIMS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in medical technology or related field, or MS in medical technology.
• 1–2+ years in a CAP/CLIA high-complexity lab with NGS experience.
• Experience with nucleic acid extraction, library prep, and sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Perform NGS data generation and QC with rapid turnaround.
• Maintain and calibrate NGS instruments; assist QA in proficiency testing.
• Enter patient data into LIMS and ensure data integrity.
• Read, understand and help update NGS SOPs; support training of technologists.
