Job summary

Banner Health seeks a Genetics/Genomics Technologist I to join the Cytogenetic Testing-Ref Lab in Phoenix, AZ. You will perform high-complexity genetic/genomic testing including FISH, PCR, CMA, NGS, and PGx, supporting patient diagnosis and care with CAP-aligned processes.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a relevant science and one year in a genetics/genomics lab; ASCP certification is preferred. A $3,500 sign-on bonus is offered for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science, chemical or biological science, or another accredited four-year degree meeting CLIA qualifications for high-complexity testing personnel.
• One year of experience in a genetics/genomics laboratory.
• ASCP certification in cytogenetics, molecular biology, or medical technology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform genetic/genomic testing in accordance with CAP standards.
• Operate FISH, real-time PCR, CMA, NGS, and PGx workflows as required.
• Ensure results are accurate and delivered in a timely manner under applicable regulations.
