Job summary

Duke University’s Center for Advanced Genomic Technologies (CAGT) is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the Center’s mission to advance genome sciences and engineering.

Based in Durham, NC, this hybrid/onsite role reports to the Managing Director and coordinates strategic plans, events, outreach, digital content, and internal communications to elevate the Center’s activities and visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with relevant experience in academic or industry settings.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and collaboration platforms.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Strategic & Programmatic Support: assist with center leadership, implement strategic plans, manage internal operations.
• Event & Meeting Logistics: arrange programs, seminars, workshops, travel, catering, budgets, and agendas.
• Outreach & Education Support: organize partnerships with neighboring colleges and host visiting students.
• Digital Engagement & Content Creation: plan content, track analytics, update website copy, and coordinate internal communications cadence.
• Marketing & Public Relations: draft annual report components and coordinate external communications.
