Job summary

The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing is seeking a Data Scientist to lead analyses across genomic, epigenomic, environmental, and behavioral factors contributing to health outcomes. You will work with array-based DNA methylation data, perform GWAS/epigenome-wide analyses, and develop reproducible R pipelines; prior REDCap/dbGaP experience is helpful but training is provided.

Hybrid work arrangement on the Pittsburgh campus; requires a Master’s degree and at least 3 years of experience

Qualifications

• Master's degree required

• Experience with genomic/epigenomic data helpful
• DNA methylation analysis in R is valuable

Responsibilities

• Lead statistical analyses across genetic/genomic projects
• Perform epigenome-wide and genome-wide analyses
• Ensure data quality and preprocessing of array-based data
• Develop reproducible R pipelines and reports
• Contribute to manuscript preparation and grants
