Qualifications

• Direct experience with plasmid purification, PCR optimization, and Golden Gate Assembly.
• Demonstrated proficiency in anaerobic microbiology techniques, including bacterial conjugation and anaerobic chambers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex SOPs independently.
• Excellent organizational skills and a collaborative, safe lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Genetic Engineering: perform DNA assembly to design synthetic genetic circuits and verify constructs by sequencing.
• Microbial Cultivation: maintain and manipulate bacterial cultures in an anaerobic environment.
• Laboratory Operations: assist with general lab maintenance and preparation of anaerobic media and stock solutions.
• Data Documentation: maintain real-time records in the lab’s LIMS and present progress in weekly meetings.
