University of California, Irvine's Precision Omics Unit is seeking a Genetic Counselor to support precision medicine initiatives. This role bridges clinical genomics, data-driven healthcare delivery, and translational research to improve appropriate genetic testing and personalized patient care.

The Genetic Counselor will work closely with clinicians, laboratory partners, informatics teams, and researchers to design and administer an institution wide genetic test utilization program that connect

Qualifications

Master’s degree from a recognized genetic counseling program or equivalent.
Board certification and CA license required or on hire.
Experience with genetic testing technologies and genomic data.

Responsibilities

Counsel individuals and families with genetic information in a sensitive, confidential manner.
Design and administer institution-wide genetic test utilization programs.
Collaborate with clinicians, laboratories, informatics, and researchers.
